This policy provides cover for the medical expenses incurred due to disease or illness abroad. In addition, it also covers the appropriate continued treatment for the same disease or illness in the insured person’s country of residence.

This policy covers the loss incurred due to Travel inconveniences such as Flight Delay, Trip Cancellation, Loss of Passport, Loss or Delay of Checked-in Baggage, Missed Flight/Connection and Hijack Distress.

IMPORTANT HIGHLIGHTS

Entry Age

Any person residing in India aged between 6 months and 70 years traveling outside India on business or holiday trips can take this policy.

Extended Cover

This policy covers people aged between 70 and 75 years at a premium loading of 50%. For persons above 75 years of age, this policy provides maximum cover under Emergency Medical Section of up to USD 10000/- with a premium loading of 25%.

Eligibility

Any person above 6 months of age who is a permanent resident of India can avail this policy.

Plan Options

This policy provides two cover options. It can be availed for travel to USA & Canada; and travel world-wide other than USA & Canada.

Sum Insured Options

This policy offers four Sum Insured limits under both plan options. They are USD 50,000/-, USD 100,000/-, USD 250,000/- and USD 500,000/-.

Pre-Insurance Medical Screening

This policy doesn’t require pre-insurance medical screening. However, those who are above 65 years of age and those who have adverse medical history are required to submit ECG, fasting & postprandial blood sugar test, cholesterol profile and urine strip test plan report.

Emergency Medical Expenses Cover

This policy indemnifies the expenses incurred for medical emergencies during the insured person’s stay abroad.

Emergency Medical Evacuation

This policy provides cover for emergency medical evacuation of the insured person on the advice of the medical practitioner. It also covers associated transportation and medical treatment expenses.

Personal Accident Cover

In case of death or disablement of the insured person due to accident, then the company will provide a lump sum to the insured person or his/her legal representatives up to the specified limits.

Dental Emergency Cover

This policy provides cover for expenses incurred on acute anesthetic treatment to treat dental problems arising out of injury during the trip.

Repatriation of Mortal Remains

In case of the death of the insured person abroad, this policy covers the transportation of mortal remains of the insured person or compensates the equivalent amount for a local burial or cremation in the country where the death occurred.

Deductibles

This policy is subject to deductibles. It means the amount up to which the company will not be liable to pay for each and every claim.

Cover for the Loss of Checked-In Baggage

If the checked-in baggage (property of the insured person) gets lost by an Airline or Carrier, then the Company will indemnify the loss incurred by the insured person up to the limits mentioned in the policy schedule.

Loss of Passport

If an insured person loses his/her passport during the trip, then the company will cover the expenses incurred in obtaining a new passport or valid travel documents to return to the home country.

Delay of Checked-In Baggage

If the checked-in baggage of the insured person is getting delayed for more than 12 hours during the trip, then the company will pay the compensation for the delay up to the limits mentioned in the policy schedule.

Flight Delay

If the insured person’s flight gets delayed for more than six hours, then the company will indemnify the expenses incurred for additional accommodation, travel and other reasonable expenses up to the specified limits.

Missed Departure/Connection

If the insured person misses the pre-booked departure or connection flight due to the specified reasons, then the company will indemnify the expenses incurred on reasonable additional accommodation and travel.

Trip Cancellation/Interruption

If the insured person’s trip gets canceled due to accidental bodily injuries or death either of the insured person or his/her family member, then the company will indemnify the insured or his/her legal representatives up the specified amount.

Personal Liability Cover

If the insured person is either legally liable for illness/injury (fatal or non-fatal) to any person, or damage to property during the period of insurance, then the Insurance Company will indemnify the insured person against all sums which he/she become legally liable to pay up to the specified limits.

Hijack Distress

If the common carrier in which the insured person is travelling is hijacked and the trip gets interrupted or disrupted for more than 12 hours, then the company will pay the Indian rupees equivalent for each day of delay as per the specified limits.
